What is VAT?

Article sections

It is a tax on goods and services, we have different tax rates depending on the type of service or commodity. The rule is that this tax must be paid to the tax office. This is not only for Uber – if you buy fuel at the station, the amount visible on the invoice / receipt as VAT is paid by the petrol station to the office, it is not their earnings! With our cooperation, we issue invoices, so we have to transfer VAT (8%) to each office. Of course, you can deduct VAT on purchases from this amount, so the final amount may be less than 8%.
